Best Wireless Earbuds For Fitbit Sense/Versa 3/Versa 2

The original Versa and the latter released Versa 2 had Bluetooth connectivity to bypass the smartphone during exercise or running. The fans had the freedom to leave their smartphones at home, but the feature wasn’t new to smartwatches. Apple and Samsung introduced these features way before Fitbit followed suit.

The early watches that included the Fitbit Ionic, the original Fitbit Versa, and its successor Fitbit Versa 2 faced difficulty pairing with third-party earbuds and headphones. Alternatively, the company’s very own Fitbit Flyer connected seamlessly but was booed by the fans for their high price tag. Fitbit presumably fixed the pairing issue in the latest watches like Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense. You can easily connect third-party earbuds with these watches.

Here, we have narrowed down the seven best earbuds to pair with Fitbit. Whether you own the latest Fitbit Sense or the old Versa 2, these earbuds would pair and work perfectly fine.

Disclaimer: Of course, we haven’t connected all these earbuds with the Fitbits but instead relied on our in-depth research on the topic. You want to do your research for reassurance, search these earbuds along with your Fitbit model. It won’t take more than 30 minutes.

Weight: 21 grams | Colors: 8 | Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0 | Processor: Apple’s  H1 Chip | Battery Life: 9 hours | Controls: answer/end, next/previous track, play/pause, voice assistant, volume | Audio Type: Stereo | Active noise cancellation: No

Two Minute Review:

The earbuds are highly expensive; in fact, they cost the same as the Versa 3 or the Fitbit Sense but have some exciting features to offer to fitness enthusiasts. In the design department, they are available in several colors and weigh just 21 grams. These earbuds have a snug-fit design but might protrude a little bit from the ear. They are almost impossible to fall out of ears during exercise or running and are highly comfortable.

You wouldn’t have a hard time pairing these earbuds with the Fitbit Sense and Versa 3, as all of them, support Bluetooth 5.0. Fast connectivity and performance are ensured by the powerful H1 chip developed by Apple. You can control volume, skip tracks, pause/play music, and play with the voice assistant. The earbuds have a decent sound, but the lack of ANC or active noise cancellation might be a deal-breaker for many.

The 9-hour battery life of this product is also something worth mentioning. The charging case can further boost its battery life by an additional 18 hours when required. However, Powerbeats’ case is enormous, and the best place to keep it safe is not in your packet but a bag.

Pros

  • Comfortable to wear
  • Decent sound quality
  • long battery life

Cons

  • Very Expensive
  • Lacks ANC

Features & Specs:

Weight: 8.5g | Colors: 2 | Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0 | Battery Life: 6-8 hours | Chip: 24-bit audio processor| NFC: Yes | Controls: answer/end, next/previous track, play/pause, ANC on, and off,  Amazon Alexa support | Active noise cancellation: Yes

Two Minute Review:

These earbuds are an excellent accessory to add to the Fitbit watches. Still, you won’t buy expensive earbuds for the watch alone (priced almost the same as the Versa 3). These earbuds connect to the Fitbit without a hassle and support the latest Bluetooth 5.0 tech like the Beats Powerbeat Pro.

In the design department, these earbuds check all the boxes. They weigh just 8.5g (and so are ultralight) and lack the protrusive bulk of their competition. Stunning in style and comfortable to wear, their drawback is the limited color options. Most importantly, they are designed to fit snugly inside your ear. The company also delivers non-slip rubber and foam earbud covers.

Sony has equipped these earbuds with powerful features. There is a proximity sensor inside for wearing detection. Touch controls allow you to access the voice assistant and navigate through the music library. ANC noise cancellation blocks all nearby noise(surprisingly, volume control is missing). 6mm drivers deliver excellent sound quality, plus you can change EQ via the Sony Headphones Connect app. The built-in voice assistant is a plus, but not so lucrative as you already have two of them in Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense.

The battery life varies depending on ANC usage. If you turn off the noise cancellation, the earbuds can last up to 7 hours playing music. The box supports fast charging and has enough firepower to charge the earbuds two times.

These earbuds are slick and deliver quality audio. With above-average battery life and powerful features like ANC and Quick Attention make a compelling choice to be a Fitbit Partner.

Pros

  • Efficient noise-cancellation
  • High Aesthetic appeal
  • Advanced Features

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Lack volume control
  • Limited Color options

Features & Specs:

Weight: 17g | Colors: 2 | Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0 | Battery Life:  Up to 6 hours | Controls: answer/end, volume, next/previous track, play/pause, ANC on and off,  Amazon Alexa support | Active noise cancellation: Yes, 9 modes

Two Minute Review:

Bose QuietComfort is the king of noise cancellation, better than even the Sony WF-1000XM3 we discussed earlier. With 9 ANC modes, you can cut off the distraction when out for a jog. You can pair the device directly to your Fitbit and smartphones, and owing to the latest Bluetooth 5.1 tech, they don’t have any latency in sound.

The QC buds offer unparalleled comfort and are a snug fit. In design, they have a lot in common with the Sony earbuds we discussed earlier. If you pair the fitting earbuds covers, these earbuds won’t fall off even when you are doing a jumping jack. Additionally, these earbuds are sweatproof and can be worn on a rainy day running. The build quality won’t let it down.

The sound quality of the earbuds is equally impressive and is primarily what you pay for. Apart from the ANC modes we discussed above, it offers music control, volume control, and access to the voice assistant on the watch. The sound is delightful, and distortion is invisible no matter how loud the music is. QC buds have done an excellent job covering all frequencies pretty well.

Lastly, the battery life of the earbuds is somewhat less than the models we discussed above. It lasts 6 hours between charges, and the bulky box that comes with it can charge it two times.

Pros

  • Best noise cancellation true wireless earbuds
  • Excellent sound quality plus Comfortable, secure fit
  • Decent battery life
  • Wireless charging
  • Solid wireless connection

Cons

  • High price tag
  • Large carrying case
  • Music control is limited

Two Minute Review:

These earbuds are the company’s second stab at the true wireless form factors and are a worthy successor of the original Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless. With improved ANC and a snug and comfortable fit, you get customizable controls as a plus. The sound quality is top-notch, just what we expect from a pioneer in the audio industry.

In the design department, The Sennheiser Momentum 2  earphones look sleek and stylish. They have a touch-sensitive metallic housing, a rounded shape, and a silver finish. The inside of the buds also looks good with gold-plated charging pins and LEDs that show their state of pairing. As with the stylish appearance, these earbuds offer IPX4-rated protection against rain.

For excellent sound quality, these earbuds come with a 7mm dynamic driver, through which you can listen to the outstanding stereo sound, with deep bass, natural mids, and clear, detailed treble. The touch-sensitive housings allow you to answer or reject phone calls, adjust your music playback and summon your Fitbit voice assistant.

Bluetooth 5.1 and Qualcomm’s aptX codec make pairing your Fitbit with these earbuds a breeze.

The battery life of these earbuds is much better than Sony’s WF-1000XM3 as they offer up to seven hours of charge from the buds and 21 more from the charging case.

Pros

  • Outstanding stereo sound
  • Sleek design
  • Support for Hi-Res Audio

Cons

  • May be uncomfortable for smaller ears
  • More expensive than rivals

Features & Specs:

Weight: 12.5 g | Colors: 3 | Ear tips: 7 | Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0 (with support for Qualcomm’s aptX codec) | Battery Life:  Up to 4 for Earbuds + 16 for Charging Case | Controls: answer/end, volume, next/previous track, play/pause, ANC on and off, Voice assistant | Active noise cancellation: Yes

Two Minute Review:

Razer Hammerhead Pro is popular among Mobile Gamers as they have low latency and have virtually no audio-visual lag. Their premium price tag might and should discourage you if you are only investing money to make them your Fitbit’s running partner. We would suggest mobile gamers who are into casual fitness to give these earbuds a try.

From a design standpoint, these are the typical stem-style earbuds. They have a matte black finish, which ups the sleek factor, and is less curvy.  There is no LED light on the Razer logo outside. Still, you can tap and hold to access gesture controls, excluding volume control(use the Fitbit watch to adjust the volume). A mic at the bottom of the stems is used for active noise cancellation and answer calls.

These earbuds come with seven sets of different ear tips (including silicone and grippier versions), making it easier for you to find the right one that perfectly fits the ears. They have an IPX4 rating, so they will work well in general workouts and help keep sweat out of the earbuds.

Earbuds have 10mm drivers, which provide a rich and balanced soundstage for all movies, music, and gaming. However, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is not as promising as the other premium earbuds at this price level. The earphones can last up to four hours on a charge, and the charging case provides an additional 16 hours of listening time.

Pros

  • Solid audio performance with deep bass
  • Lots of choices for in-canal eartips

Cons

  • Mediocre noise cancellation
  • Short battery life

How to Connect Bluetooth audio devices to Fitbit watches

As on the Fitbit smartwatch, you can pair 8 devices using Bluetooth. The connectivity method for Ionic, Versa, and Versa 2 is a little different than Sense and Versa 3.

Ionic, Versa, and Versa 2

To pair your earbuds with these watches, you have to turn on the Bluetooth of earbuds, then on the watch, you have to open the Settings app, go to Bluetooth, and tap + Audio Device.  The watch will start searching for any nearby Bluetooth audio devices and shows a list of them on the screen. Select your device by tapping on the name. After the pairing, a pop-up notification will appear on the screen.
